Next Outing - Going for the Gold! Location - GPAA - Buchanan GA." Dates:  May. 28th - 31st. Since the use of Loud Mine fell through, we are off to our favorite GPA site, Buchanan GA. What to Bring:   Anything and everything you think you will need for a weekend of camping and gold prospecting.  Many member will have their dredges in action, so don't worry if you do not have the best gear.  There is always room for helpers. For Camping:   The Farm site can handle everything from pup tents to 30' RV's and trailers, but plan for primitive camping.  There is a port-a-potty on site, but no showers or drinking water.  There is one area for a Campfire, but personal cook stoves are just fine.  Not up for camping, then not to worry, as there are several motels in the area near the interstate which is about 15 minutes away.  Prefer a full RV park.  that too is fairly close by.  Do a quick web search for these using Buchanan, GA. as the location.  I'm sure plenty will show up. For Prospecting:   You name it, bring it.  If you think you're going to use it, or want to try something new out, then bring it along.  You'll never know when something might be needed. Pot Luck Dinner:   Saturday evening we'll be having a Pot Luck Dinner so make sure you have something for the festivities.  The Club will be providing $50.00 towards a main course.  Rumors have it at being fried chicken, but you never know... Directions:   From The Orlando area, this is about an 8 to 10 hour trip or longer, depending on your travel speed, and number of stops you make along the way.
